Em terras consideravelmente degradadas, principalmente devido às condições climáticas e também à ação humana durante os últimos séculos, o ambicioso projeto Life Nieblas foi lançado em julho de 2020 em diferentes ambientes florestais danificados em Espanha e Portugal, com o objetivo de ser um projeto pioneiro na utilização da recolha de água de nevoeiro como principal fonte de abastecimento de água para a irrigação e manutenção de áreas reflorestadas com o objetivo de unir esforços na adaptação e mitigação dos efeitos das alterações climáticas.
In considerably degraded lands, mainly due to climatic conditions and also to human action during the last centuries, the ambitious Life Nieblas project was launched in July 2020 in different damaged forest environments in Spain and Portugal, with the aim of being a pioneering project on the use of fog water harvesting as the main source of water supply for irrigation and maintenance of reforested areas to join efforts in adapting and mitigating the effects of climate change.
